UPDATE: Bloomington Man killed ATV crash in rural Shirley

SHIRLEY – The McLean County coroner’s office has released the name of the person killed in an ATV accident in rural Shirley on Saturday night.

Coroner Kathleen Davis says 26-year-old Cory James Olson of Bloomington was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:30 Saturday night. Another occupant of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital, where he has treated and released.

The Autopsy of Olson finds that the cause of death was compressional asphyxia due to the crash with the ATV coming to rst on top of him.
The Dale Township Fire Department responded to the crash at 9359 East and 1000 North roads at 11:10 p.m. Davis said the crash remains under investigation.
