Mitsubishi will stop production at the end of November.  That leaves some employees who are close to retirement wondering what to do.  John Ruedi with Kingston Wealth Management in Bloomington tells WJBC’s Tim Lewis a conference will be held at their office.

“What we are going to talk about is if you have a 401k, what are some of the options you can do with it if you have a pension plan, how does that factor in to should I or should I not maybe elect an early social security instead of holiding off,” said Ruedi.

Mitsubishi employees can attend a conference at their offices on East Empire Street on Wednesday, September 16th to talk about retirement issues.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

African-Americans have been killed too many times in the past before George Floyd, but the response to this man’s death is international and all-encompassing. I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
