BLOOMINGTON – If you think lawmakers in Illinois are working around the clock to work on a new state budget, you’d be wrong. State Representatives are taking a three week break. State Senator Jason Barickman tells WJBC’s Terry James the senate has been meeting once every two weeks.
“For those who have not been willing to reform our government, I think they are dragging their feet,” said Barickman. “And hopefully you know they aren’t going to continue to drag them until next year, but next year is an election year.”
Barickman admits voters may decide to replace their representation in Springfield because change is not happening.
