David Nauman
David J. Nauman, 62, of Bloomington, died at 2:50 a.m. on Aug. 19 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Church of Merna, with Monsignor Gregory Ketcham officiating. Visitation will be 1.5 hours prior to mass at the church (8:30am-10am). Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home has assisted the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Richard L. He was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Peoria, son of Richard and Patricia Murphy Nauman. He married Gayle A. Meade on Oct. 11, 1975 in Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife, Gayle, of Bloomington; two sons, Brett (Joellyn) Nauman of Normal and Brad Nauman of Bloomington; one daughter, Mary Kathleen “Katie” (David) Salrin of Springfield and two grandchildren, Eve and Luke Nauman. Also surviving are his mother, Patricia Nauman of Metamora; five brothers, Mark (Christine) Nauman of Metamora, Matthew (Cindy) Nauman of Peoria Heights, James (Andrea) Nauman of Spring, Texas, Francis (Jayne) Nauman of Loves Park and Peter (Diane) Nauman of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; four sisters, Suzanne (Richard) Feltman of Spokane, Wash., Annelle (Robert) Wells of Peoria, Mary Anne (Douglas) Oertley of Dacula, GA and Patricia (Dwight) Darling of Wheaton and numerous nieces and nephews.
David worked as a Union Bricklayer for many years, retiring from Nauman Masonry in Metamora.
He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, traveling with his wife and playing with his grandkids.
