James Anderson
James L. Anderson, 78, of Bloomington, died at 3:50 p.m., Aug. 13, at his home.
His memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington. A reception will immediately follow the service. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the McLean County Museum of History.

Jim was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Clifford and Anna Carlin Anderson. He married Mary Morrison on June 28, 1958, in Princeton, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mary Kathryn (Thomas Kelly) of South Lyon, Michigan; Nancy (Robert Krause) of Evanston, Illinois; Sarah (Christopher Stride) of Brooklyn, New York; and Anne (Scott Walker) of Denver, Colorado; and 12 loving grandchildren.
Jim graduated from Rockford East High School in 1954, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1958, and the University of Illinois College of Law in 1961. Upon receiving his law degree, he proudly served his country as a captain in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps. After his military service, he practiced law in Bloomington-Normal for more than 50 years.
Jim was an avid coin collector, history buff, traveler, sportsman – with a particular fondness for golf – and raconteur. He loved Swedish food, and was a fan of the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Illini. Most of all, he was a fan of his family, his many friends and a good story well told.
Kathryn Folts
Kathryn M. Folts, 83, of Bloomington; formerly of Chenoa area passed away at 11:30pm, Aug. 13 at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bloomington.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa with Pastor Deb Honegger officiating. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
Kathryn was born Nov. 6, 1931 in Pontiac the daughter of Herman and Katherine (Schuirmann) Folts. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Byron Folts and brother, Col. Rudolf Folts and one niece, Alice Folts.
Survivors include two nieces, Ann (Mike) Spalding, Houston, Texas; Penny (Paul) LeBuffe, Downingtown, Pa.; one great niece, Denise LeBuffe, Lewisburg, Pa..
Kathryn grew up in Chenoa and graduated from Chenoa High School in 1950. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois, Urbana and was a member of Phi-Beta-Kappa. She was employed for many years as Assistant to the International Vice President of Armour Pharmaceutical Co., Chicago. Later in life she returned to central Illinois and was employed by GTE-Verizon, Bloomington, retiring in December of 1991.
In lieu of flowers her family suggests that memorials be directed to the Humane Society of Central Illinois, 423 Kay’s Drive, Normal, Ill. 61761.
