BLOOINGTON – One of the three men accused in the beating death of a homeless man in Bloomington is pleading guilty.
19 year old Willie Chambers accepted made the plea Friday for the June 2014 act. 56 year old Ronald Smith died about a month later from several blows to the stomach while lying in O’Neil Park. The state is dropping robbery and aggravated battery charges in exchange for the guilty plea.
Two other Bloomington men, 19 year old Anthony Davis-Dickson and 20 year old Tory Washington are still facing murder charges.
