BLOOMINGTON – A new feature to last year’s Race for the Cure in Bloomington is back by popular demand.
Maggie McCormick, who coordinates the survivor’s tent, said Race for the Cure also wants to honor loved ones we have lost to breast cancer. That’s what the reflection tent is for.
“it’s really a great place for people to go and recognize survivors as well as those lot to breast cancer and just remember them,” McCormick said.
McCormick told WJBC’s Scott Laughlin anyone who wants to hang pictures of leave mementos of loved ones for the race can display them up to one hour before the run starts on the morning of Sept. 12 at State Farm Corporate South.
The race starts at 8 a.m. Early registration continues through Aug. 30.
