Deann Sue Steidinger, 68 of Fairbury, passed away at 11:02 am, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral service will be 10 am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow at South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 pm, on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall, Fairbury and 9 to 9:45 am, prior to her service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Deann was born in Kankakee on May 30, 1947 a daughter to Lloyd “Butch” and Bernice (Adams) Lovell. She married David Steidinger on February 4, 1968 in Kempton. He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving are her children, Debbie (Steven) Vaughan of Fairbury; Dayton (Teresa) Steidinger of Sibley; Daniel Steidinger of Fairbury; Darrel (Shannon) Steidinger of Colfax; Davida (Tony) Moreland of Colorado; Derrick (Joslyn) Steidinger of Fairbury; Dustin (Cynthia) Steidinger of Cropsey; four sisters, Diane Harris of Reddick; Donna (Bill) Masching of Campus; triplet sister, Darlene (Eldon) Steidinger of Fairbury; Doris Willis of Kempton; and two sister in-laws, Dolores and BJ Lovell both of Bourbonnais; 26 adored grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Her parents, two brothers, Duane Lovell and triplet brother, Deane Lovell and brother in-law, Roger Harris preceded her in death.
Deann attended the Apostolic Christian Church of Fairbury. As a hard working Farmer’s wife and mother to seven children she was devoted to her family. She enjoyed knitting and baking and helping those in need. Her grandchildren were very special to her and she loved them dearly.
