LeROY – LeRoy Police are investigating an overnight burglary at the city’s public works facility at 410 N. Hemlock St.
Police Chief Jason Williamson said in a news release two public works pickup trucks were stolen from inside the building. One truck was recovered in rural LeRoy Saturday morning.
The vehicle that’s still missing is a white 2007 Dodge extended cab pick up truck with City of LeRoy decals and municipal plates M166456. Williamson said the public is asked to watch for this vehicle and call 911 if they spot the stolen vehicle.
Mayor Steve Dean is offering a cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this crime. Anyone with information is asked to call LeRoy Police at (309)-888-5030.
Williamson said the investigation is ongoing and no other information will be released at this time.
