Cardinals look to bounce back vs. Pirates on WJBC

BLOOMINGTON – The St. Louis Cardinals conclude their four-game series in Pittsburgh against the Pirates with rookie Tim Cooney facing Francisco Liriano in the final game before the All-Star break.
The pre-game show starts at 6:10 p.m. on WJBC 1230 AM with the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. in a clash of the top two teams in the National League Central Division.
Cooney, who started the season with the Peoria Chiefs, is making his second major league start and looking for his first decision. He has a 3.95 earned run average while Liriano is 5-6 with a 2.99 ERA.
