Kerry Ann Carlson, 41, of Bloomington, passed away, surrounded by friends at 3:30 p.m., June 29, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Her memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Tonya Oertel officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Humane Society of Central Illinois, Normal.
Kerry was born Aug. 9, 1973 in Joliet, the daughter of Thomas Onofrey and Stacy Travers.
Survivors include her mother, Stacy (Andrew) Kowalczyk of Oak Park, her father, Thomas Onofrey of Joliet; two brothers, Jacob and Zachary Kowalczyk of Bloomington, Indiana; two nephews, William and Brendan Mulcahy and two nieces, Nora and Margaret Mulcahy, all of Kankakee; her best friend, Dawn Barth of Bloomington; her Dachshund, Sasha Barth and her two cats, DeeDee Carlson and Anakin Carlson.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Megan Onofrey Mulcahy; her grandparents, Irene and Edward Onofrey and Janice and George Travers.
Kerry graduated from Evanston Township High School. Kerry enjoyed crafts, music and was an animal lover. She was very social and outgoing person who had many friends.
Kerry was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed.
