Ann M. Crump, 70, of Carlock, died at 2:20 p.m. on June 8 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bloomington, with Rev. Ric Schneider officiating. There will be a private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or ASPCA.

She was born Dec. 15, 1944 in Streator, Ill., daughter of Edward and Josephine Schilkoski. She married Ronald R. Crump on Dec. 15, 1970 in Effingham.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald, of Carlock; three children, Brenda Crump, Bloomington, Jim (Lacey) Crump, Pekin and Ron “Tony” Crump, Peoria and four grandchildren.
Ann retired as Post Master from the Carlock Post Office after 26 years. Previously she worked at Glass Specialty, Saturn Tire and General Telephone Company.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she also volunteered in her free time. Ann also enjoyed flowers, gardening and animal rescue. She was a former volunteer at the Human Society of Central Illinois, Normal.
Douglas C. Klein, 57, of Normal, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on June 6 at his residence.
His memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Biaggi’s Restorante Italiano, Bloomington. Pastor Rudy Rivera will be officiating. Visitation will be 12:30-3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Biaggi’s Restorante Italiano, Bloomington. Please use the east terrace entrance for both the visitation and memorial service.
Private family inurnment will be at a later date at South Side Cemetery, Pontiac. Cremation services provided by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.

Doug was born May 18, 1958 in Joliet the son of Charles Roy and Jane Lacey Klein. He married Jennifer E. Redic on June 5, 2011 in Normal. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Luke, Packard & Hunter Otto, Normal; mother, Jane L. Klein, Normal; one sister, Pamela (Russell) Warren, Salida, Colo.; one niece, Lindsay Warren, Bloomington; mother-in-law, Carolyn Redic, Normal.
He is preceded in death by his father and his father in-law Jim Redic.
Doug graduated from Joliet West High School and attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He was a Captain at Biaggi’s Restorante Italiano, Bloomington and mentored new employees and was passionate about his work. He made many friends and never knew a stranger. Doug had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed all sports. Doug treasured the time he and Jennifer spent with the boys and their involvement with sports and family activities. Frances Mead, 80, of Normal, passed away at 10:09 p.m. on June 6 at Heritage Health, Normal, after fighting Alzheimer’s Disease for several years and further complications from lymphatic leukemia.
Fran was born June 9, 1934 in Bobtown, Ky., daughter of William Claude “W.C.” and Pearl Poynter Smith, now deceased. She married Dale Lauritson and later married Richard Hartsock. She was most recently married to Marion Mead, all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William Clayton Smith and Donald Smith and two sisters, Lois Jean Stevenson and Wilma Christine Bradley.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. The Rev. Kelley L. Becker will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will follow services at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Fran was employed for many years at State Farm in Bloomington and later in Salem, Ore. She also worked for several years at the Bloomington architectural firm of Hilfinger, Asbury, Cufaude and Abels. Employment was a great source of enjoyment for Fran because she loved the contact with people.
She became an enthusiastic traveler over the years. Although raised in Kentucky, her family moved to Indiana when she was a teenager, then on to Illinois, where she graduated from Leroy High School before moving to Bloomington-Normal. In later years, she lived in Salem, Ore. and in Big River, Calif., which provided opportunities to visit many of the surrounding states.
Fran’s outgoing personality brought her many friends wherever she lived or worked. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful homemade pies and her competitive spirit when bowling or playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Judy) Lauritson, Bloomington and Tom (Kathy Alexander) Lauritson, Normal; three grandchildren, Katie (Bill) Paine, Stephen (Melissa) Lauritson and Danielle (Shawn) O’Kelley, all of Bloomington and three great-grandchildren, Luke and Charlotte Lauritson and Patrick O’Kelley, all of Bloomington. She is also survived by her step-mother, Naomi Smith, Normal; five brothers, Ronald (Eileen) Smith, Henderson, Nev., J.C. (Susan) Smith, Australia, David “Bud” (Sue) Smith, Heyworth, Ed (Terri) Smith, Peoria and Tracy (Chris) Smith, Rowlette, Texas; four sisters, Louise Smith and Judy (Paul) Marshall, both of Bloomington, Joyce (William) Mowry, Arizona City, Ariz. and Arlene (Keith) Hunnicutt, Jacksonville, Fla. and many nieces and nephews.
