Leslie M. Cunningham, 78 of Bloomington passed away at 11:15 p.m. on June 2 surrounded by his loved ones at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington with Pastor Stephanie Soon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the memorial home. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the Bloomington-Normal American Legion Honor Guard.
Interment will be at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Les was born on Jan. 9, 1937 in Charleston, Illinois, a son of Samuel and Bessie (Rice) Cunningham and was the second to the youngest of 8 boys and 5 girls. He married Barbara Bagosy on Sep. 12, 1964. She survives as lifelong friend.
Also surviving are three daughters, Jeanne (Ron) Hinterscher of Oblong, Ill., Linda (Steve Carroll) Feasley of Bloomington and Terri (Rick) Hoepner of Bloomington; nine grandchildren, Stacey (Aubrey) Forrester, Eric Varner, Mandy Feasley, Cori Feasley, Justin (Christina) Smith, Kristin (Brian) Nafziger, Brie Weaver, Erick Hoepner, Chris Hinterscher and Nicolas Hinterscher; ten great grandchildren, Aleksey, Keaton, Raegan, Kaelyn, Morgan, Gavin, Garrett, Braden, Lilah, Madison and Blake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and five sisters.
Les proudly served his county in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He received an honorable discharge with a good conduct medal and was an expert rifle sharpshooter. He was employed in retail grocery management from 1964 until he retired. After retirement, Les worked part time servicing magazine racks for various merchants until 2014.
He was a devoted Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He was a member of the American Hungarian Family Society.
Les will be remembered for being selfless, kind-hearted and was always there to help out in any way possible. He will be dearly missed by his family and all that know him.
His family would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Nancy Erwin and the staff at the Illinois CancerCare as well as the nursing staff at OSF.

Gary Milton
Gary L. Milton, 62, of Colfax passed away at 1:44 p.m., June 3 in Colfax.
There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday at the Colfax Christian Church, Colfax. Cremation rites will take place at the conclusion of the service, with an Inurnment to take place in Wiley Cemetery, Colfax at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Gary was born Dec. 26, 1952 in Pontiac the son of Clifford “CL” and Mary Ann (Reum) Milton. He married Jorja Cole on Feb. 23, 1974 in Colfax. His wife survives in Colfax.
Also surviving are two sons; Gregory (Dee Dee) Milton, Timothy Milton both of Colfax; one daughter, Krista (Drew) VanNote of Bloomington; one brother, Larry (Alice) Milton of Colfax; three sisters, Diane (Gary) Conner of Washington, Penny (Todd) Feehan of Bloomington, and Cindy (Larry) Vance of Joshua, Texas; two step grandchildren, Madison and Quentin; and 4 grand dogs.
His parents and one sister, Janet Brumley preceded him in death.
Gary was the owner-operator of C.L. Milton and Sons in Colfax and belonged to the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local Union #99 of Bloomington. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman an outdoorsman would be an understatement. He was a member of North American Hunting Club and the NRA. He enjoyed watching Ridgeview Mustang’s Basketball and was a NASCAR fan as well.
