Agenies searching for missing kayaker to be reduced

CONGERVILLE – The Peoria Journal Star reported the search will continue for Abel Martinez, 24, who has been missing since Sunday after his kayak capsized on the Mackinaw River, after no clues were found Wednesday.

Wednesday’s search was focused on recovery after the first two days of the rescue effort resulted in no evidence Martinez made it to land.

The number of agencies and people assisting the search will be reduced Thursday.
