CONGERVILLE – The search for a missing boater on the Mackinaw River resumed on Monday morning.

Rescue workers from nearly a dozen agencies were searching for Abel Martinez, 24, who was reported missing at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in an area between Goodfield and Congerville.

Authorities say Martinez was kayaking on the river when his boat capsized. Dozens of workers searched throughout the night but were unable to find Martinez.
