Stanley E. “Stan” Stayton, 60, of Bloomington, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on April 10 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Stanley was born June 11, 1954 in Jefferson City, Mo., a son of Scotty and Alverda (Eller) Stayton. He married Teresa Stanley on May 29, 1990 in Renton, Wash. She survives.
In addition to his wife Teresa, Stan is survived by a sister, Diane Stayton; three cousins, Rhonda Schroder, Maranda Tuttle and Chad “C.J.” Tuttle; one niece, Angie Stayton; one great nephew, Bentley Everett Scott McWorder; and one aunt, Cleo Tuttle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stan was previously employed as a cab driver in Bloomington.
He enjoyed fishing most of all and dreamed of one day riding a Harley. Stan was also known as “Wrongway” by his family and friends.
Stan was the best husband and a great friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Teresa and Stan enjoyed 25 years of marriage they were the best years of their lives.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be on Saturday from 1:00-4:30 p.m. at Miller Park in Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.

Ruth Broquard
Ruth F. Broquard, 76, Fairbury, died at 11:30 p.m. May 25 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury with Pastor George Russell officiating. Burial will be in the South Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Ruth was born Dec. 31, 1938 in Fairbury the daughter of Jacob and Florence Hieronymus Helmers. She married Kenneth E. Broquard on Jan. 18, 1958 in Cropsey. He survives in Fairbury.
Other survivors include two sons, David (Kathy) Broquard, Sunnyvale, Calif., Robert (Linda) Broquard, Fairbury, one daughter, Susan (Jeff) Lorentson, Fishers, Ind., seven grandchildren, Andy (Tisha Shaffer) Broquard, Matt Broquard, Molly (Mike) Mellott, Melissa Broquard, Jennifer Broquard, Katie Lorentson, Kari Lorentson, one great grandson, Luke Mellott, two sisters, Jane (Marvin) Bahler, Fairbury, Lois (Carl) Lemna, North Manchester, Ind. and one brother, Bill (Darlene) Helmers, Cropsey.
She is preceded in death by one brother, James Helmers.
Ruth was a 1956 graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Fairbury, Indian Creek Golf Course and belonged to several bridge clubs in the community.
