BLOOMINGTON – The deadline is approaching to register for Illinois’ pre-paid tuition program.
Enrollment closes April 30 for College Illinois, a program that lets parents pay for their children’s future tuition costs at today’s prices.
Eric Zarnikow is executive director of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission
“What we’ve done this year is we’ve actually reduced contract prices by as much as 29 percent, so the plans are more affordable than they have been previously,” Eric Zarnikow, executive director of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, said. “The cost of college has gone up, it’s definitely gotten more expensive, so it’s important to plan ahead and lock it in.”
College Illinois is available for in-state or out-of-state schools, both public and private. More information can be found at www.CollegeIllinois.org.
