The Illinois State women’s basketball team returns to Redbird Arena for the second-straight weekend, as the Redbirds welcome Northern Iowa at 7:05 p.m. before hosting Drake, Sunday, at 2:05 p.m., for the fifth-annual Play4Kay game.
Mary Sims led Illinois State to its first victory of the season, as the Redbirds defeated Loyola by a score of 72-56. Sims finished with a game- and career-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field, and a perfect 7-for-7 showing from the line.

The first pitch of the Illinois State softball season is almost here. The Redbirds are set for five games in three days in Tampa, Fla., to open the season, beginning with Jacksonville at 12:15 p.m. The Redbirds will play host South Florida at 5:30 p.m.
For the first time since 2010, the Illinois State softball team is coming off of a losing season. The Redbirds finished 25-27 last year against the most difficult non-conference schedule in the country. ISU played 11 games against ranked opponents, including four against top-five teams.

The Bloomington Thunder will continue their six-game road trip as they visit the Des Moines Buccaneers.
