SPRINGFIELD – A new bill is being proposed to stop terrorists from teaching.
House Bill 150 was introduced by State Rep. Charles Meier, R-Highland, after the University of Illinois rehired James Kilgore last year.
Kilgore was part of the organization that kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst, and he was involved in the killing of a customer during a 1975 bank robbery in California. He spent five years in prison after he was extradited from South Africa in 2002.
