SPRINGFIELD – A Lincoln woman who admitted to embezzling more than $2 million from the bank where she worked has been sentenced to three years and nine months in prison.
The sentence was handed down in U.S. District Court in Springfield against Nancy Huskins.
Huskins pleaded guilty last July to one count of bank embezzlement. She was the head teller at State Bank of Lincoln from 1996 until 2013. Huskins admitted stealing the money during her 17 years at the bank and using it for personal spending.
She reportedly concealed the theft by manipulating audits and had access to the bank's vault as head teller.
Huskins was ordered to pay more than $2 million in restitution and pay a $10,000 fine.
