An Illinois State University student has died following a hit and run over the weekend.
Benjamin Allison was reportedly struck by a 1998 Toyota Carolla around 9 am Saturday on College near Fell avenue. He was a communications major and a member of the student radio station.
21 year old Joshua Dunn of Normal was charged earlier today with DUI and leaving the scene of an injury accident. Dunn reportedly told authorities that he was drinking alcohol at a party the night before the accident. Police are currently investigating. Allison is an organ donor through the Gift of Hope program.
We are awaiting word from the McLean County State's Attorney's office on any update on charges.
