Nancy Rogers

Nancy Rogers, 77, of Fairbury, passed away at 1:35 a.m., Jan. 24, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27 at First Baptist Church of Fairbury. Pastor Steve Anderson will be officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fairbury or Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Nancy was born Sept. 26, 1937 in Fairbury, the daughter of Thurman and Clara Livesay Rogers.

Surviving are her sister, Betty Collins of Normal; brother, Jack (Jan) Rogers of Streator; one niece; five nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles, one nephew, and one great-niece.

Nancy was a legal secretary for Si Dolgin and Wally Trezise.   She last worked at the Walton Center for 20 years until she retired. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairbury, where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 40 years.  She was also a past member of the REBEKAH Lodge.

Darlene Bittner

Darlene E. Bittner, 80, Fairbury, died at 10:55 am Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with the ministers of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Wednesday also at the memorial home.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be given to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Miss Bittner was born August 26, 1934 in Fairbury, IL the daughter of Samuel and Lydia Zimmerman Bittner.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Emma (Peter) Schaffer and Jean Bittner, 1 brother, Merle Bittner and 1 sister-in-law, LaVerne Bittner, all of Fairbury, IL.

She is preceded in death by 1 brother, Wayne Bittner, 2 sisters, Betty Bittner and Cynthia Donelson and 1 sister-in-law, Ruth Bittner.

Patricia Todd
    
Patricia Aldine Todd (Pat), 81, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her family residence in Bloomington.

Her memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Jeffery Windy officiating. Her final resting place will be at Stout’s Grove Cemetery, Danvers IL. Friends and family will gather at the church hall immediately after the service. Memorials may be made to Historic St. Patrick Church.  Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

Pat was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Chenoa, IL, the daughter of Glenn and Aldine Lee. Pat married Richard O. Todd April 19th 1952 Bloomington, IL.

Survivors include a brother, Keith (Margie) Lee, a sister, Mary Anders, three daughters, Nancy (Randy) Ammerman, Jill Schull, and Trisha Todd, all of Bloomington; two sons, Steve (Stephanie) Todd of Bloomington and Ken (Mimi) Todd of North Las Vegas, NV; four grandsons, Levi (Brittany) Burton, Todd Schull, Corey Longmire and Cooper Childers. Four granddaughters, Lindsay (Luke) Rabbe, Stacy (Erik) Hanks, Abby Schull, Sarah Longmire, and four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Sophie Hanks, and Marlowe and Fiona Rabbe.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gordon, Ben, Bob and Ken, and two sisters, Betty and Ruth; a daughter, Terri Todd, and a grandson Justin Michael Todd.

Pat attended Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bloomington and she worked in the McLean County Treasurer’s office, retiring in 1995. After retirement Pat took up the game of golf, spending many days on the course with her friends.

She also bowled in many different leagues over the years.

Pat loved spending time with her family.  She had her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids over every Saturday for lunch.  She spent her Saturdays the same way with her mother. Pat also loved spending time with her friends.  She was blessed to have an over 60 year friendship with Ann Boylan.  Pat kept in touch with many of her friends from school and work, meeting regularly for breakfast and lunch.  She also enjoyed her prayer group.  She loved her friends and considered them a part of her family.

A special thank you to Dr. Farah, whose kindness and caring made him feel like family.  And a special thank you to Dr. Migas and the Cancer Center, and Sherin and the wonderful hospice nurses.

Pat holds a special place in the hearts of many and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
