For the second-consecutive game, Illinois State is facing a team predicted to win its respective conference, as the Redbird men's basketball team hosts IPFW Monday at 6 p.m. on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.
After playing three out-of-their-last four games on the road, the Redbirds begin a season-long three-game homestand which will conclude with ISU's Dec. 31 Missouri Valley Conference opener against Indiana State. ISU enters Monday's game with a 6-4 record after falling at Murray State Saturday afternoon. IPFW is also 6-4 after also losing Saturday to Valparaiso.
The Illinois State women’s basketball team is in the middle of a six-game homestand, as it welcomes Butler Monday at 3:05 p.m. The Redbirds are still looking to grab their first win of the season. On Friday, ISU lost a close game to Bowling Green, falling 58-54 to the Falcons.
Zach Dietmeier and China Antoine will have the play-by-play at 3 p.m. Dick Luedke, Mike Matthews and Tim Lewis have coverage of the men's game immediately following the women's contest.
