Patricia Ann Abrams, 74, of Normal, passed away at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday,
December 16, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Her memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27,
2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Normal. Her
Brother-in-Law, Bishop Kelly Swartz, will be officiating. Interment
will be private.

Patricia was born on December 21, 1939 in Bloomington, the daughter of
Kenneth Wayne and Betty Frances McAnelly Fry. She married Larry Lloyd
Abrams on September 18, in 1960.
Survivors include son, Alan Abrams, and daughter, Terri (Troy) Ommen,
both of Normal; two grandchildren, Ryan Schneider of Normal and
Danielle Abrams of Ft. Hood, TX; two brothers, Steven Fry of Lisle, IL
and Ronald (Susan) Gibson of Union City, MI; one sister, Betty (Kelly)
Swartz of Normal; a dear friend, Linda Singley of Bloomington and many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
Patricia graduated from Bloomington High School. She worked for GTE
for over thirty-five years, retiring in a management position. After
retiring, she worked at the YWCA with the Assisted Living program.
This was her calling in life.
Patricia lived for her children and grandchildren. She was always
there for her friends and family and enjoyed helping others in their
time of need. She was the most nurturing, caring and generous person.
Patricia had a deep love for her 3 cats, her dog and any other animals
that came in her path. She loved to laugh, always had a smile on her
face, and a good time was had by all whenever she was around.
Patricia will be dearly missed by her family, friends and anyone who knew her.
