House fire in Chatsworth

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of a house fire in Chatsworth. The one-story ranch home in the 500 block of north Third Street
caught on fire Thursday afternoon and officials believe the blaze started in a bedroom closet.

No one was home at the time and there were no injuries. The house suffered heavy damage.

Firefighters fromCullom, Saunemin, Forrest, Strawn and Piper City helped the Chatsworth Fire Department battle the blaze, while officials from SELCAS Ambulance were also on hand.
