Corn Belt Energy experiencing outage in Tazewell and McLean County

Corn Belt Energy is reporting two set of outages in Tazewell and McLean County. One outage, which is affecting nearly 3,500 customers, the substations in Hopedale, Armington, and Olympia. Power was to be restored by 9, but that has not happened. Crews are still working to figure out what is causing the outage.

A second outage is being reported at the substations in Saybrook, Holder, Lexington, and Cooksville. The outage is affecting another 3,500 customers. It is reported that the power lines are icing and starting to sway due to the winds and then becoming damaged.
There is no time table on power being restored to those customers at this time.
