Man from Normal faces 30 years for child abuse

   A man with a history of domestic violence has pleaded guilty today to severely injuring a baby in his care.
   24 year-old Joshua White of Normal faces up to 30 years in prison on his guilty plea to felony battery of a child. The three-week-old girl sufffered a cracked skull and brain injuries and had to be flown to Saint Joseph Medical Center January 16th.
   White told police he couldn't stop the baby from crying so he slammed her down on his lap. He says the baby's head either hit his knee or a table. White will be sentenced in October. Meanwhile, he remains in the McLean County jail because he hasn't been able to post $50,000 bond.
