Sheriff's Office goes undercover for alcohol compliance check

     Six McLean County businesses were nabbed Thursday for selling liquor to minors. The Danvers Y and Danvers Fast Stop, Jakes in Stanford, The BP Station in Downs, Phillips 66 in Gridley and Apollo Mart in Chenoa.

Sheriff Mike Emery says he's filing complaints with mayors in those communities asking for sanctions against the establishments' liquor licenses. The clerks that sold the alcohol were each served with a criminal complaint.

Eleven other businesses were who checked did ask for age ID.
