Children's museum celebrates milestone

The first floor gallery of the Children's Discovery Museum is "Discover My World" exhibit.
   
The Children's Discovery Museum is celebrating a milestone earlier than anticipated. The museum opened in late 2004 in uptown Normal and today will welcome its 500,000 visitor, two full years earlier than forecasted. The museum is open from 9 until 5 today and admission is free. They also have some special activities planned, including healthy activities that will have visitors burning a collective 500,000 calories by the end of the day.
WJBC's Beth Whisman and R.C. McBride will broadcast their shows live today from the WJBC uptown studio at the museum.
