The storms that blew through Central Illinois left as many as 5,300 homes and businesses in McLean County and another 6,000 in Tazewell and Woodford County without power.

Ameren-IP Spokesman Neil Johnson says it could be well into the day Monday before power is restored to all areas. The utility reports 428 outages remain in McLean County, as of 7:15 a.m., nearly 1,600 customers in Tazewell County, 234 customers in Ford County and 113 customers in Woodford County. Johnson warns people to stay away from downed power lines.

An out-of-town Father's Day celebration might have saved a Colfax family from today's storms. Neighbors tell WJBC, Scott Tongate and his family were in Saybrook visiting family when the roof was torn off by high winds.

It's not clear if a tornado caused the damage. But, Emergency Management Director for the Village of Colfax, Randy Clark, says crews are investigating the area to assess the damage.

A tire store in Colfax also had part of its roof torn off, and downed trees damaged houses and blocked roadways across the county. Hawk says there were no injuries reported. On Monday, the National Weather Service will determine if there was a tornado touchdown in Colfax.

The McLean County EMA had numerous reports of trees down in the Lake Bloomington area. The Village of Hudson is asking residents to place debris near the street as crews will make their rounds throughout the week.

There was quarter-inch to nickle-sized hail in that area. Woodford County emergency officials say they clocked a wind gust of 71 miles-an-hour in Goodfield where there are trees and limbs down. A tree also fell on a house in Eureka, but no one was injured.
