05/22/2008 14:50:18

Former Bloomington Police Sergeant Jeff Pelo denied repeatedly he did anything wrong when he was found outside an east side residence at 12:30 in the morning. Jurors today watched his videotaped interview with police.
Pelo denied trying to break into a home of a woman he's accused of stalking. He said over and over he didn't know that woman. But, Prosecutor Mark Messman tells WJBC, he found it interesting Pelo knew information that hadn't yet been revealed about the woman's complaint.

An animated Pelo tells detective Shephard he took a drive because he couldn't sleep and wanted to check out the access to a pond near a townhome he was looking at for his mother-in-law. He also denied ignoring a police order to stop and said he didn't remember officers having to pull a gun on him.
