Nicor cleans up for annual Volunteer Day

Nicor Energy employees and Boy Scouts are teaming up to help cleanup a somewhat secluded lake. Nicor Spokesman Bernie Anderson says he took his son fishing recently to MLK Lake behind Martin Luther King drive, and discovered the lake had become unsightly. So, he says they'll have plenty of work on their hands.

It's all part of Nicor's 12th Annual Volunteer Day. Workers will also be doing cleanup and other handy work at the Marc First Center in Normal -- a home for the developmentally disabled.
