A Bloomington nursing home has agreed to pay a reduced fine for allowing a convicted sex offender to live in their facility. The patient fondled two mentally-disabled patients at Asta Care and inappropriately touched staff members. The man was still allowed to stay and staff was not made aware of any special precautions. The Illinois Department of Public Health fined Asta Care $22,500 in March. Asta Care negotiated the fine down to $14,500.
