Public raises concerns over proposed Livingston County wind farm

Livingston County residents continue to voice their opinions on a proposed wind farm along the Cayuga Ridge. The public hearing, including members of the county Zoning Board of Appeals and officials from Heartland Wind, is expected to conclude tonight at Pontiac High School. Last night, Manville resident Judy Campbell said Livingston County is not the place for the wind industry.

Scott Nye of Flanagan said he doesn’t see a downside to wind farms, while Odell resident Mike Machetti is concerned about the noise from wind towers and the effect on real estate.
