Police in Logan County say the driver of a truck that crashed in February, killing four teens, was speeding. It was also revealed at a coroner's inquest that none of the six people in the truck were wearing a seat belt. The pickup truck was speeding when it went out of control, ran off the road, slammed into a tree and caught fire near Middletown late at night on February 15th.

The crash claimed the lives of 19-year-old Christopher McGlasson of Middletown, 15-year-old Katherine Carpenter of Lincoln, 18-year-old Ross Conrady of Elkhart and 19-year-old Katelyn McCarty of Taylorville.

The coroner's jury ruled their deaths an accident.

Two other passengers were injured but survived.
