A date has been set for the jury trial of dog groomer Denise Read, who is accused of poisoning two dogs at a competing business. But it's not clear yet what evidence can be presented.

Read's attorney Jason Cannell says the hamburger the dogs ate, that was laced with antifreeze, should not be admitted in court because police mishandled the evidence.

Cannell also wants a private polygraph test to be allowed in court. He says Read agreed to take a lie detector test given by police, but they never gave her one.

The trial is scheduled to start July 21st.
