The city of Bloomington budget woes appear to be spilling over into the workplace. Support staff workers, parking attendants, and potentially inspectors could be walking off the job Monday.

Union members for the first, two groups are working under a city-imposed contract employees haven't approved. Laborer's Local 362 Business Manager David Penn says negotiators are willing to meet anytime. At issue --- wages and the city's demand employees take on 25% of their health insurance costs.

Penn says workers realize they need to share the insurance burden but not when the city is imposing 3% pay hikes.
