Local tourism officials promote uptown Normal in Chicago

Bloomington-Normal tourism officials are in Chicago today, along with other downstate cities, trying to convince people to take the train south. It's Downstate Illinois Day at Chicago's Union Station. Bloomington-Normal Convention & Visitors Bureau tourism manager Eric O'Connell is promoting Uptown Normal.

In addition to the individual cities like Galesburg and Mattoon, regions such as the Great River Road and Illinois wine country are making their push.
