Bloomington's deputy fire chief retires

A 30-year-veteran of the Bloomington Fire Department is calling it quits this week. Deputy Chief Dave Adelsberger didn't want to talk to WJBC for the story. He's opting to fade quietly into retirement, but his colleagues had a different idea. Chief Keith Ranney says Adelsberger never looked for trouble, but it always managed to find him.

Seriously, Ranney says Adelsberger will be tough to replace, at a time when the department could soon be dealing with a number of retirements, including Ranney himself sometime in the next few years.
