BERWYN, Ill - Suburban Chicago's famous Car Kabob may be getting a second life after all. The sculpture called the Spindle featured cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s skewered on a huge metal spike and was made famous in the movie ``Wayne's World.'' It was removed last week from Berwyn shopping plaza to make way for a pharmacy.

Now, the president of the shopping center's management company says it saved two cars from the sculpture and hopes to resurrect the piece. Michael Flight says the mall's owners are open to spending up to $300,000 to create a new Spindle. But before that can happen, the mall needs to reach a deal with California artist Dustin Shuler who created built the 50-foot-piece in 1989. Shuler says he's optimistic a deal can be reached.
