A wealthy concrete company owner, running as a Republican for the 11th Congressional District, says he has donated thousands to Democrats over the years because he believes in the political process.
Marty Ozinga has donated to Democratic Senator Dick Durbin and his family has donated to Governor Blagojevich's 2002 presidential campaign. Ozinga tells WJBC's Laughlin and Reynolds, he believes donating stimulates political involvement.

Ozinga says his concrete company owner does not have a state contract and he supports legislation in Springfield that would restrict political contributions from companies with state government contracts. The Republican from Homer Glen will face Democratic state Senator Debbie Halvorson and Green Party newcomer Jason Wallace of Normal.
