Anti war demonstrators visit ISU as part of cross country walk
08/06/2007 18:07:57

Ashley Casale and Michael Isreal (middle photo) are walking across the U.S. to protest the Iraq War.

Two teens on a cross-country trek to protest the Iraq war have made their way to Bloomingotn-Normal. 19-year-old Ashley Casale of New York and 18-year-old Michael Isreal of California started their march in San Francisco earlier this summer and plan to reach Washington D.C. next month. Casale says they've picked up some help along the way.

Listen:

Casale says most people seem supportive of their march -- even if they disagree with their position on the war. She did say one woman forced them off her property and a park ranger tried to keep them from entering the Rocky Mountain National Park.
The two teens plan to join fellow war protestors at Illinois State University tonight.
