Grand jury refuses to indict Pontiac teen for his friend's death

If prosecutors in Peoria want to make their felony case against a college student accused of pushing his friend in front of a car, they're going to have to go before a judge and start over. A grand jury has refused to indict Brandon Gish of Pontiac, in his friend's death. Police say the two were on their way to a party when Gish and Robert Hurt, also from Pontiac, started wrestling. Cops say Gish shoved Hurt into traffic, he was hit by a car, and died.

Now prosecutors have to decide if they'll lessen the charges, drop the case, or try to show a judge they have the evidence to prove a felony. No word yet on what the strategy might be.
