McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling has released more information concerning the drowning of Bloomington Junior High School student CoJuan Harris at the YWCA earlier this week.

She says there was one lifeguard on duty while close to 50 children were in the pool. Kimmerling says a majority of the kids were in the shallow end where the lifeguard was seated and were well behaved.

Meanwhile, District 87 Superintendent Bob Nielsen says Bloomington Junior High School is preparing to help students cope with CoJuan's death when they return from spring break next week.

Kimmerling also noted CoJuan suffered no other injuries before his death. She says he was pulled from the deep end by a Boys and Girls Club staff member after being underwater for several minutes. CoJuan was on a field trip with the club at the time.
