On the job.....
Extreme Tailgate

WJBC loves to tailgate with Extreme indoor football
fans. The second season is already underway at U.S. Cellular
Coliseum. We'll see ya at the next tailgate! |

Me & Susan Saunders from WBNQ |
Even the smallest fans get into the fun! |

Talking with Mayor Steve Stockton.... |
Host Scott Laughlin and his wife entertain a Sister
Cities exchange student. |
Wheel-a-thon
| The LIFE Center for
Independent Living's first Wheel-a-thon. People without disabilities got a chance to use a
wheelchair on an "everyday" obstacle course. The
center does great work. Check it out! |
Zoo life

| This was a different kind of zoo.
Star Wars fans turned out for the sci-fi series' final
installment, and ISU Football Coach Denver Johnson joined me for
movie reviews. |
Rubbing elbows is hard
work!
A curious amount of high-profile Dems visit a
big Republican area.
WJBC's Relay for Life team poses with Senator Obama. NOTE:
I won a bet over his attire. He stuck with the
formal tie and long-sleeved shirt, despite the 105 heat
index. (The senator joked his legs were too skinny for shorts
in public.)

| Steve Fast and I got a chance to meet VP
hopeful John Edwards when he visited near LeRoy. Now, if
only the local GOP would invite the President to visit! I meant
Bush Sr. during his failed second bid. Pretty nice guy! |
Backstage Pass:

| My sister, Katy, and I got to meet with John
Mellencamp after his concert in Bloomington. The concert was
great, and he was a very nice guy! That weekend, I
introduced Katy to Extreme Football. She loved it. |

| Country musician Brad Paisley - I LOVE
that he's wearing a Bob Ross T-shirt. Hilarious! |

| I officially love this band. Hayseed
Dixie stopped by the studios. I'd heard
their music before, but didn't know what to expect from a bunch
of pickers who play AC/DC, KISS, etc. You pickup their CD "A
Hot Piece of Grass". |
