WJBC, in partnership with Frontier Communications and Roberts Trophies, is again proud to present the High School Athletes of the Week.

Here the winners for the week of Oct. 22, 2012:

Kaylee Lessen - Tri-Valley volleyball

Kaylee recorded 10 kills to help Tri-Valley beat top-seeded and previously undefeated Deer Creek-Mackinaw to win the McLean County/Heart of Illinois Conference volleyball tournament.

Shane Bruning - LeRoy football

Shane rushed for 245 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a 34-0 victory over Tri-Valley which earned LeRoy its first Heart of Illinois Conference championship.
