BLOOMINGTON - U.S. Cellular Coliseum is reporting a strong third quarter profit.
A third quarter of sold out events has the Coliseum in position to finish in the black for 2013. 91 events between November and January brought in an operating profit of $102,675. The nine-month gains are a 106 percent imoprovement from last year.
Coliseum managers said the Festival of Trees, Blaze hockey games, comedian Rodney Carrington, Mannheim Steamroller, and Luke Bryan highlighted the schedule for the period. The Bloomington-Normal Convention and Visitors Bureau says the economic impact to the community numbered $4.1 million.
Upcoming events include the start of the Edge football and Flex basketball seasons, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, comedian Mike Epps, Christian group Third Day, and the Home Show 2013.
