CHICAGO - Gov. Pat Quinn and his toughest potential Democratic rival are offering a glimpse of what the 2014 gubernatorial primary may look like.
Attorney General Lisa Madigan and Quinn both spoke Monday to the Illinois Housing Leaders Conference.
Quinn focused on what state agencies have done as the housing market bounces back with a focus on veterans. Madigan played up her office's efforts to go after the banking industry, including a settlement with a Bank of America subsidiary over discriminatory loan allegations.
Madigan says she hasn't decided whether she'll run yet, but she has recently raised more money than Quinn.
The two also differed slightly Monday in their reactions to the Supreme Court's pass on a New York gun law challenge and what it means for Illinois' concealed carry discussions.
