BLOOMINGTON - A 53 year old man is dead following a crash Tuesday on Interstate 55 just north of the Market Street exit.

State police said Gregory B. Malin, from Shaker Heights, Ohio, died in the crash involving his pickup and an Illinois Department of Transportation truck at 12 p.m.

Police said the IDOT truck was parked on the side of the road when it was rear-ended by Malin's northbound pickup. Officials said there were two IDOT employees in the truck, but neither were hurt in the crash.

Barb Nafziger, McLean County Chief Deputy Coroner, said Malin was wearing his seatbelt.

The crash closed two lanes of I-55.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
