Mary Catherine Miller

Mary Catherine Miller, 86, of Normal, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Heritage Health in Normal. 

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. Rev. Paul Walles will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Danvers. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home. The family suggests memorials be made to Carlock Mennonite Church.

Mary Catherine was born Oct. 20, 1926 in Danvers, the daughter of Ralph and Gertrude Miller Ummel. She married Harold E. Miller on Dec. 10, 1954 in Normal. He passed away Oct. 10, 2010.

Surviving is one daughter, Debra Sue Miller of Normal, and one brother, Donald (Wanda) Ummel of Hudson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sandra Lynn Miller.

Mary Catherine was a member of the Carlock Mennonite Church in Carlock. She graduated from Normal Community High School in 1945. There are not enough words to express appreciation for the kind and compassionate care given to Mary Catherine by the OSF Palliative Care Team, - Dr. Valentine, Mary, Kathy, Sami and Rosemary - and the doctors, nurses and staff at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, OSF Home Care, OSF Hospice, and Heritage Health in Normal, along with Dr. Maere, Dr. Novak, and Dr. Patel.
